Baedeker Guides

Baedeker Canada"No one is better aware than the Editor himself of the inevitable imperfections in the earlier editions of a guidebook; and the vast extent of the Dominion of Canada has made the preparation of the present volume a peculiarly difficult task. He has not attempted to give more than a few suggestions and hints for the traveller's guidance in the less-known parts of the territory, where a journey still necessarily assumes something of the nature of an exploration"

(c.f. Preface: 3rd. rev. ed., 1907)

All items are in original gilt-decorated red or salmon-pink cloth. Dated price lists are so indicated; undated lists mention, where possible, the latest dated guide, e.g. "Austria, 4th ed., 1878".
